As we approach the season of Lent, we prepare ourselves for a journey of inward reflection that provides for spiritual direction. During His journey on earth, Jesus modeled for us how to fully rely on the Father at every turn in life. Culminating at Calvary’s cross, our Savior invites us to become renewed with life giving power. It is the experience of the cross that centers our hearts and spirits to joyfully admire the babe in the manger at Christmas. Now, as the Suffering Servant moves towards the end of His journey, He offers hope and healing for his people. As we prepare our hearts and minds in this moment, I invite and challenge you to 40 days of reading, fasting and praying. Remember, your best days are ahead.
