Rev. Dr. Price L. Davis is a native of Madison, Wisconsin and the youngest of three children. He credits his parents, family and surrounding community for the person, he has become today. Resonating with him to this day is his mother’s mantra to him, “Tenacity Boy…Tenacity…Never Give Up!” For that reason, it is Rev. Davis’s desire and hope to create spaces where people can Seek Authenticity, Speak Passionately, Serve Faithfully and Live Powerfully.

He has a broad experience in the fields of mental health and ministry. He has worked as a School Social Worker, Threat Assessment Specialist, a Family based Counselor, Outpatient Therapist, Clinical Director, Associate Minister and Pastor. In his 12 years as a School Social Worker with the Madison Metropolitan School District and Richmond Public Schools, he was an advocate for parents and students, a key community driver for strategic change, designed the first African American History Course at his assigned middle school and implemented the “Bridges” program, a leadership institute for students.

In his work as a minister, Rev. Davis served five years as an Associate Pastor at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Beaverdam, VA under the pastoral leadership of the Rev. Dr. John W. Kinney. For seven years, Rev. Davis faithfully served as the Pastor of Byrd Grove Baptist Church in Fluvanna County, VA. Currently, he is the Senior Pastor of the Mosby Memorial Baptist Church in Richmond, Virginia. His ministry is motivated by the scriptural text found in 1 John 3:2 which states, “…It does not yet appear what we shall be…” He strives to encourage people never to underestimate the divine promise, power and possibility in others and themselves.

Licensed to preach the Gospel in 1998 and ordained for Christian ministry by the American Baptist Churches of Wisconsin in 2004, Rev. Davis received his Doctorate in Ministry with an emphasis in Pastoral Care and Theology, and a Master of Divinity degree with an emphasis in Christian Education from the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University.
