The part-time position (15 hrs. per week) of Financial Secretary is open to candidates who possess a solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles, and have a minimum of two years’ experience, preferably in a church or non-profit organization.
That person is responsible for the precise and confidential maintenance of all church financial records, including, but not limited to receipts, payables, payroll, general ledger, and financial reports.
The position requires a knowledge of computer skills and preferably church accounting software, regulatory requirements of the IRS and the state related to payroll and a high degree of attention to detail.
The candidate must have the ability to maintain confidentiality regarding members and staff and excellent customer service skills.
