“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit? Therefore honor God with your bodies.” — 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month — and for many in our community, it is personal.

Black women are 40% more likely to die from breast cancer than white women, even when diagnosed at similar rates. That statistic alone is a call to action. Our bodies are gifts, worthy of care and the same courage that carries us through life’s valleys is the courage that says: go get checked.

Healing begins in community. Ask your sister if she’s had her mammogram. Offer to go with her. Pray with her. That is the work of a faith family. To every woman who has walked this road: you are seen, and you are not alone.

Join us on Sunday, October 25, in your Pink, as Mosby celebrates our survivors! Stop by the information table in the Narthex after morning worship where Sis. Rose Thomas and the Health & Wellness Ministry will be set up to share with us.
